CSO to Present UNCORKED Fundraising Event, 5/21

Chattanooga, TN - The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera will present its 2016 fundraiser, UnCorked, presented by First Tennessee Foundation, on Saturday, May 21 from 6:30-10:00pm at Renaissance Park. This event, held along the banks of the Tennessee River, will feature wine tasting, some of Chattanooga's best cuisine, and music by Smooth Dialects. Event chairs are Harriett and Berton Whitaker.

The CSO is partnering with some of the finest restaurants in Chattanooga to bring some of their most scrumptious bites for you. Restaurants and food vendors include Blue Water, Rolling J, Puckett's, Walden Club, Porter's Steakhouse, Five, and many more. Each restaurant will be paired with a wine selected by Athens Distributing. Complete details are available at www.chattanoogasymphony.org/uncorked.

This year's VIP tent will feature "Wines of the World". Industry experts will provide VIP attendees with samples of several varieties of wines from various regions such as Spain, France, Italy, the U.S, Chile, Argentina, and more. All VIP attendees receive a souvenir wine glass and plate, plus free parking in the CTC lot with a provided shuttle. This exclusive VIP experience includes tastes from 212 Market and Sequatchie Cove Creamery.

Music will be provided by Smooth Dialects, a local band that features jazz, funk, soul, and more. Lead singer Maria Sable is the daughter of former CSO conductor Vakhtang Jordania.

General admission tickets include wine, food, and a souvenir wine glass and are $65 per person. The VIP Tent Tickets are $125 per person and include wine, food, souvenir wine glass and plate, and free parking. Tickets can be purchased online at www.chattanoogasymphony.org or by calling 423.267.8583. The event will be held rain or shine. Attendees 21 and over must have a valid ID at check-in. About CSO

The mission of the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera is to inspire, engage, and enrich the greater Chattanooga community through music and music education.

The 2015/16 season marks 83 seasons for the CSO, which played its first concert on November 5, 1933. The CSO, conducted by Music Director Kayoko Dan, consists of top players from the Chattanooga area as well as from across the southern region. The CSO performs a full season of Masterworks, Pops, Chamber, and Volkswagen Series concerts from September through May, as well as a variety of community, education and engagement events throughout the year.
