Acceptd of Dublin, OH and Tanglewood Music Center (TMC) of Boston, MA announce a strategic partnership that will provide applicants to TMC's Fellowship program with a powerful, easy-to-use, digital application tool.

"We are ecstatic about this relationship," said Don Hunter, Acceptd Co-founder and President. "Tanglewood Music Center is one of the most prestigious summer academies in the world. This amazing program of advanced study for instrumentalists, singers, conductors, and composers aligns perfectly with Acceptd's commitment to make it easier for talented young artists to pursue their passion. Acceptd allows them to efficiently connect with and apply to programs that can help them achieve their goals."

The TMC Fellowship Program is the Boston Symphony Orchestra's (BSO) summer academy for advanced musical study. Founded by Serge Koussevitzky, BSO music director from 1924 to 1949, the school's vision is to apply the resources of Boston's great symphony orchestra to further develop emerging music professionals who have completed most of their formal training.

Acceptd is the world's largest arts network that allows students to apply to and be recruited by hundreds of arts programs across the globe. The decision-makers at partnering schools and programs, like Tanglewood, have access to all applications and

media in a common format and can view, comment, and rate applicants collaboratively in real time.

Tanglewood receives about 1,500 applications per year and accepts about 120 new students and 30 returning students per summer. There is no charge for the program, which is open to anyone around the world.

"With Acceptd's online platform, it is going be much easier for our applicants," said Michael Nock, TMC Associate Director for Student Affairs. "They are used to using the Internet for everything, and with this process, they won't have to deal with CDs, DVDs, or as much paper when they apply to Tanglewood."

Instead, students will upload their application and digital audition using Acceptd's powerful online application tool.

"In additional to helping applicants, we are also creating a much easier situation for our staff in terms of efficiently processing applications," Mr. Nock said. "We will avoid lots of paperwork and save hours that we previously spent opening and cataloguing applications, as well as CDs and DVDs. Acceptd will track all of that online, freeing up more of our time to respond to students."

In less than two years, Acceptd has grown from three to over 200 clients. "As a leader in the performing arts space, it's wonderful for Acceptd to join in a strategic partnership with Tanglewood," Mr. Hunter said. "It feels great to be teaming up with other leaders like Juilliard, YoungArts, and now Tanglewood."
