Two Men Take a Cross-Country Motorcycle Journey in New Novel In "Roads of Our Lives" (published by Lulu), a new novel by Timothy Patrick Means, the love of family, country and the freedom of riding a motorcycle across America's storied landscape is the setting for the adventure of a lifetime that will test the personal qualities of two men, Luke and Todd.

In "Roads of Our Lives," Luke finds freedom and openness of soul that he dreamed of on the two-lane blacktops of America, but he also finds unearned hostility, cyclone winds and the heartbreak of an abusive marriage within his own family. Barely halfway through their epic road trip, Luke and Todd will find themselves confronting the question neither anticipated: "Are we big enough to live out our dreams?"

"In a world that is only interested in the bottom line," Means explains, "I wanted to show how decisions made by corporate America affect the common family and what choices they have to make just to survive after losing their livelihood."

About the Author
Timothy Patrick Means was born in the same year that Disneyland was built in Anaheim, California. He grew up close to Newport Beach, only 10 miles away from the wealthy and famous movie stars. Although he can't say he was born poor, he remembers having to work seven days a week beside his father delivering newspapers from a young age. His father died when Means was 19 on Father's Day and it impacted his life significantly, as did the death of Means' son Joshua four years ago. He has also written "Sacrifice the Innocent."
