Richard Hartley has completed his new book "Then a Miracle Happened: A Story about Redemption and Forgiveness": a marvelous tale about the path to forgiveness and everlasting joy.

Richard grew up on a farm in East Central Lower Michigan as the ninth youngest of ten children. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an avionics technician working on B-52 bombers and KC-135 refueling tankers at the Beale Air Force Base in California. He has lived in Colorado since 1969 working in the High Tech Industry for a major electronics company. He retired in 2000 from the industry after thirty-one years. He lives in Fort Collins with his cat, Cashew. He enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking in the Colorado high country. His hobbies include hiking, traveling throughout the Rocky Mountain region, reading, and the study of spirituality. Richard volunteers with various
organizations in the Fort Collins area. He has two children, his late daughter, Kari, and his son, Kevin, two grandchildren, Max and Courtney, along with one great-grandson, Timothy. This is Richard's first attempt in the literary field.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Richard Hartley's extraordinary life's story will leave the reader feeling blessed and hopeful as the author uncovers the path to happiness.

"Then a Miracle Happened" is a true story based on the life of the author. Amidst his dysfunctional family stands an abusive father who is redeemed by events that can only be attributed to God's intervention. The author's story is a journey of the soul through this physical lifetime and his own redemption as he learns how to forgive past abuses.

His story starts with the adventures and challenges encountered by a farming family in rural Michigan beginning at the time of WWII. The second part can only be described as prophetic and reveals profound encounters with God and the spiritual world. It leads to new personal beliefs which alter his own choices for creating a new path for the remaining part of this journey.

Readers who wish to experience this spiritual work can purchase"Then a Miracle Happened: A Story about Redemption and Forgiveness" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
