With the advent of cell phones, social media and tablets, it's never been easier to fit the world into the palm of a hand-and it's never been more difficult to prioritize commitments.

In her new book, Making Love Your Priority, Kimaya says love is a gift that can sometimes get lost in the daily shuffle of life. To reinforce the importance of making time for love, she teaches readers how to prioritize this complex emotion in the new self-help book.

"Making Love Your Priority has been developed with those who aren't so big on reading in mind, meaning that it is easy and pleasurable to read," says Kimaya. "It brilliantly reminds the readers of the abundance of love in all its flavors."

In this and its companion children's book, All the Flavours of Love, the author speaks to the complexity of this human emotion simplistically through bright, bold illustrations and short lines of text.

Her goal, Kimaya says, is to spread messages of love and positivity.

"My books are about the sacred relationship we can each have with ourselves, others and the world around us when we are centered in love," Kimaya says. "To see love in every moment is a gift that each of us - children and adults - can give to ourselves, and ultimately society as a whole."
