New Poetry Collection GATHERED THOUGHTS is Released

Gathered Thoughts entitles 81 delightful poems written from the mind and heart. Author Bonnie Solomon White speaks from an enchantment of hours and days, of occasions and moments that leave bright spots in memory-things that can illuminate the path ahead or present circumstance. Many anthologists can lay claim to an all-inclusive effort that bridges all points in life. Few, like White, make their collection as points embroidered like colored thread on the white canvas of life. The silhouette in the sand/ of a woman and/ a man./ ... Carrying shoes once covering their feet/ finding a place they could/ meet./ ... Freed hands from the woman and man/ ... The woman lying under the sheets/ ... The man says,/ "I find this really neat/ we find our footprints everywhere we/ meet."/

The poem is a convincing thematic strength in Gathered Thoughts. White tells her readers that her poems are not merely summaries of events, they are emotional footprints which are an intelligence or an analysis about how she has fared-ultimately, she helps her readers find their bearings in a world ruled by a woman's heart.

About the Author
Bonnie Solomon was born December 9, 1969 in Somers Point, New Jersey. Born into a large family of six, she has four brothers and one sister. She relocated through-out the years attending numerous schools and grew up in poverty. She married at the age of seventeen in 1987. She was a stay at home mom, but on occasions worked as a chamber maid and cared for an elderly woman until she moved to East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains in 1995. She moved to Tennessee with her husband and four very small children. She became a parent volunteer in 1995. Over the next eight years she gave birth to four more children. In 1999 she completed her GED course and became a substitute teacher in 2000. She became fond of reading after spending a lot of her time helping children with reading and substitute teaching. She decided to further her education so she enrolled in Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee on July 15, 2008. It was then that she was inspired by several professors, but one in particular really pushed her. She was asked if she ever thought about writing. They were impressed with her lifestyle seeing that she has eight children, helping them with homework, car pooling between sports and other events, working, volunteering, attending college herself, and finding time to write poetry. She looks forward to continue with reading and writing poetry with the hopes of starting a book.
