Nadine Thomas Tells Story of 'Grandma's Magic Box' Nadine Thomas loves to tell her grandchildren some make believe stories where they are the characters. Such activity inspired her to write "Grandma's Magic Box" (published by Xlibris), a book meant to entertain and educate children ages 4 to 8.

This book is a collection of stories written by a grandmother and sent to her grandson as a way to keep in touch over a long distance. These stories are delightful adventure trips for young children. The stories all revolve around a box that the grandmother had given to her grandson for Christmas. Each story takes readers to a different location with facts about that location. The ending of each story is quite a mystery.

"This is a book that will be fun to read to children with its surprise endings but also fun for children to read to themselves and imagine being in those exciting places," Thomas says. "I would hope my book would leave the children wanting to visit each place."

An excerpt from the book:

"Well, I really don't know where I am or how I got here. You see there is this box"and somehow my story sounded silly even to me.
