Author Judith Whitmore got her pilot's license in Aspen, Colorado, after her friend John Denver helped her overcome her fear of flying and she's been soaring from one adventure to the next ever since. Her debut novel, Come Fly With Me, is the story of a woman coming into her own in a world where the sky is the limit.

Kate Randolph is young, rich and beautiful, and her passion is flying. In the air, she feels a freedom she experiences nowhere else, and it's where she dreams of escape from her marriage to a cold, distant husband. Rick, her tough flight instructor, challenges Kate to trust her instincts and always rise to the occasion. A series of unexpected events forces both to look beyond the usual facades, and, as a result, Kate and Rick liberate each other. She rescues him in a harrowing mission to Southeast Asia that proves her mettle once and for all, and he releases her to be the woman she was meant to be, no holds barred.

Already, the book has won the Editor's Choice Award at the San Diego State University 17th Annual Writer's Conference and placed as a finalist in both the New Jersey Romance Writers "Put Your Heart in a Book" contest and the Colorado Romance Writers "Heart of the Rockies" contest. The novel also took First Place in the women's fiction category at the Santa Barbara Writer's Conference.

Come Fly With Me will be available in paperback for $11.99 on Amazon.com. Kindle, Nook and iBooks users can download the novel for $3.99.

Judith Whitmore was inspired to pursue her pilot's license not long after confronting her fear of flying in a small plane in Aspen, Colo. She eventually earned her commercial pilot's license and an instrument rating and became a regular in local search-and-rescue missions. Her next adventures revolved around an acclaimed independent theater production and a return to Southern California, where she settled with her second husband and earned her master's degree in clinical psychology. After a number of years in private practice, Whitmore followed her passion to become an author. In addition to Come Fly With Me, Whitmore has published a cookbook, All-Time Favorites, and created a graphic novel series called Shakespeare Unplugged, bringing her love of Shakespeare to life for a brand-new generation of readers.
