A violent crime sets the atmosphere of John Ryan's literary debut, "Therapy." Using a host of richly drawn characters and a narrative riddled with unforgettable twists and turns, Ryan sends readers on a journey deep into a labyrinth of deceit, infidelity and crime.

"Therapy" introduces Edward Allen, an ordinary family man thrust at the center of extraordinary circumstances. Allen has been implicated in a crime he did not commit. Time is running out for Allen as police come upon evidence that clearly pinpoint him as the only suspect. Allen frantically tries to extricate himself as the authorities close in, desperate to close their case. But there is more to the story than meets the eye. Allen must not only find a way to vindicate himself, he also needs to uncover the gruesome truth behind everything that is going on.

Ryan, the compelling narrator, takes readers through intriguing family secrets, stark police procedurals and finally the unexpected conclusion of this brilliantly orchestrated tale. Announcing the arrival of new talent in the crime fiction genre, "Therapy" will keep readers at the edge of their seats from beginning to end.
