Life is good Facebook Community Reaches 1 Million Fans

By:

One million people can't be wrong. The Boston-based lifestyle and apparel brand, Life is good has reached a social media milestone, with more than 1 million "Likes" on its Facebook page. Life is good spreads the power of optimism through its colorful collection of apparel and accessories and through its social mission to help kids overcome life-threatening challenges.

The Life is good Facebook page has become an essential vehicle for the company to reach new optimists and continue its mission to spread good vibes by relaying optimistic anecdotes, lyrics and images to their active community of Facebook fans. These fans reciprocate, engaging with the brand on a daily basis, sharing their stories and connecting with other optimists around the world. During an average month, Life is good's Facebook page receives nearly 29 million post views and over 127,000 fan interactions.

"We view social media as a great tool to help us spread the power of optimism, and our aim is to talk with our fans, not talk at them," said David Oksman, head of marketing at Life is good. "We truly are inspired by our Facebook following. It's a unique gathering place for an amazing community of optimists who share their thoughts, passion and good vibes every day."

Facebook is just one part of the social media strategy at Life is good, which also includes more than 36,000 followers of Life is good on Twitter and the Life is good YouTube Channel. Earlier this year, the company launched Life is good Radio, an online stream that brings together listeners who like uniquely selected music that reflects good times and a positive outlook.

The Life is good Community will gather in person to celebrate optimism and raise funds for kids in need at the 2nd annual Life is good Festival. Set to take place September 24-25 at Prowse Farm in Canton, MA, the Life is good Festival will feature three stages of nationally known musical talent including Ray LaMontagne, The Avett Brothers and Michael Franti & Spearhead, as well as kindie rock superstars Imagination Movers and The Laurie Berkner Band headlining the Good Kids Stage. 100% of Life is good's profits from the Festival will go towards their goal of raising $1 million for The Life is good Playmakers, helping kids overcome life-threatening challenges such as violence, illness and extreme poverty. Visit www.lifeisgood.com/festivals for the full talent line-up and other Festival information.
