Blockbuster Bear Country Returns to ASF for Limited Run, Closes 1/23

Bear Country, the highest attended and biggest selling play in the 25 year history of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival's Octagon stage will return to ASF for a limited engagement and will close on January 23. This Silver Anniversary encore production will take place on a reconceived set in ASF's 750-seat Festival Theatre.

The Whole Backstage Children's Theatre has been working to enhance its programs for the youth of our communities. This year along with the classes and workshops that have been held in the past a Pre-School Summer Camp and a Musical Theatre Camp will be added to the summer schedule (dates to be released at a later time). Also the WBS Children's Theatre is very pleased to announce the addition of SPOTLIGHT KIDS. After a successful trial-run in the fall, Director Kelleybrooke Brown, felt it was a necessary addition to the program.

Legally Blonde Evening Performance to Run as Scheduled

The Sunday evening performance (7:30pm) of Legally Blonde will go on as scheduled. The National Weather Service has indicated, as of Noon, January 8, that the predicted snow storm will arrive between 8pm-10pm on Sunday evening. The chance for snow at 8pm is 40% and the chance for snow at 10pm is 50%. The evening performance of Legally Blonde will let out at 9:50pm.
