Based on the smash hit 2003 film, SCHOOL OF ROCK - THE MUSICAL follows Dewey Finn, a failed wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. Completely disinterested in academic work, Dewey decides to create his own curriculum, turning his class into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” with host Chris Harrison gets into the holiday spirit with “Armed Forces Week,” a special series of shows airing December 14-18, 2015, honoring true American heroes from the U.S. military. 

ABC will air a tribute to the Pixar Animation Studios film that ushered in a new era of computer animation, in the original special, “Toy Story At 20: To Infinity and Beyond,” THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10 (8:00-9:00 p.m., EST). The special will feature interviews with key creative leads and voice talent involved with the creation of this milestone film, including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, John Ratzenberger, R. Lee Ermey, Randy Newman, Joss Whedon, John Lasseter and Ed Catmull.

Offering a first look at the year ahead in independent film, culture and new ideas, Sundance Institute announced today the 65 films selected for the U.S. Competition, World Competition and out-of-competition NEXT category set to premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, January 21-31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. Disney Channel's premiere of Disney Junior's “The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar” (7:00 p.m., EST/PST) resonated with viewers, ranking as the #1 primetime cable TV telecast of 2015 among Kids 2-5 (1.4 million/9.3 rating) – and #2 overall year-to-date in the target demographic – and became the #1 animated telecast across kid cable-TV networks among Total Viewers (5.4 million), Adults 18-49 (1.8 million/1.4 rating) and Kids 2-11 (2.6 million/6.7 rating). It was also the #1 rated cable TV telecast in Girls 2-5 (893,000/11.8 rating) in 1 year – since a “Sofia the First” primetime special (11/23/14).
