Bravo Media announces the promotion of Rachel Smith to Senior Vice President, Current Production, Bravo.  The announcement was made today by Shari Levine, Executive Vice President, Current Production, Bravo to whom she reports. Based in New York, Smith joined Bravo in 2013 as Vice President, Current Production and currently oversees several hit series for the network including “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Don't Be Tardy…,” “Newlyweds: The First Year,” and “Manzo'd With Children.”   Currently, she is spearheading the two newly announced additions to the Housewives franchise, “The Real Housewives of Potomac” and “The Real Housewives of Dallas,” as well as the luxury travel docu-series “Tour Group,” all set to premiere in 2016.

ABC also grew week to week in Total Viewers (+8% - 2.287 million vs. 2.124 million), drawing its 3rd-largest audience in late-night this season.

W New York - Times Square announced today the launch of Ultimate Encore, a short film written and directed by Alan Cumming, in celebration of the newly renovated Living Room, the brand's signature, see-and-be-seen spin on the hotel lobby. Through the film, Cumming captures the energetic and dramatic designs of the new space, while celebrating its location in the heart of Times Square. Ultimate Encore will also raise money and awareness for pet charity, Broadway Barks, with proceeds from the items featured in the film being donated to the great cause. Golf Channel's Morning Drive will take a closer look at the art and science of golf course design all next week, Monday, Dec. 7 – Sunday, Dec. 13, as a part of 'Architecture Week.' Beginning Monday, Morning Drive will dedicate daily features on some of the game's most notable architects, courses and designs in golf; invite industry experts to Golf Channel's worldwide headquarters for roundtable discussions, including 2006 U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy, and highlight some of the legends of the game as special guests, including World Golf Hall-of-Famer Jack Nicklaus. Architecture Week also will give a glimpse into the future of golf course design.

 In its third season presenting Formula One, NBC Sports Group's 2015 coverage of all 19 races across NBC, NBCSN and CNBC produced its highest viewership, highlighted by NBCSN delivering the most-watched F1 season for a single cable network in two decades, according to The Nielsen Company.

Barbra Streisand has come aboard to direct 'CATHERINE THE GREAT,' written by Kristina Lauren Anderson, it is announced by Gil Netter who will produce. With Streisand helming and Netter producing, casting is now underway.

Based on the smash hit 2003 film, SCHOOL OF ROCK - THE MUSICAL follows Dewey Finn, a failed wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. Completely disinterested in academic work, Dewey decides to create his own curriculum, turning his class into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” with host Chris Harrison gets into the holiday spirit with “Armed Forces Week,” a special series of shows airing December 14-18, 2015, honoring true American heroes from the U.S. military. 

ABC will air a tribute to the Pixar Animation Studios film that ushered in a new era of computer animation, in the original special, “Toy Story At 20: To Infinity and Beyond,” THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10 (8:00-9:00 p.m., EST). The special will feature interviews with key creative leads and voice talent involved with the creation of this milestone film, including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, John Ratzenberger, R. Lee Ermey, Randy Newman, Joss Whedon, John Lasseter and Ed Catmull.

Offering a first look at the year ahead in independent film, culture and new ideas, Sundance Institute announced today the 65 films selected for the U.S. Competition, World Competition and out-of-competition NEXT category set to premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, January 21-31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.
