E!'s award season is in full swing and the worldwide red carpet destination continues to bring fans from across the globe to the heart of the A-List action when 'Live from the Red Carpet: The 2014 SAG Awards' airs Saturday, January 18. This week's guest on THEATER TALK is journalist Jeremy Gerard, author of the new book, Wynn Place Show, subtitled A Biased History of the Rollicking Life & Extreme Times of Wynn Handman and the American Place Theatre (Smith and Kraus Publishers). Roberto Guerra, an international documentary film director, producer, and cinematographer, born in Lima, Peru, has died. Born in 1942, he graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria, Lima with a degree in engineering, and subsequently turned his attention to film, initially producing and directing in Peru.

According to Entertainment Weekly, FOX chairman Kevin Reilly confirmed today at a TCA event that the remainder of the series' current season will exclusively be set in New York City, leaving McKinley High behind.

Chip Colley, a longtime director for CBS News, has been promoted to director of the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY. In this role, Colley will also direct during CBS News' special events and contribute to CBS News' breaking news coverage. His appointment is effective Feb. 24.

“The Rachel Maddow Show” marked a big victory in the key A25-54 demo, ranking #1 at 9 p.m. among cable news networks for the week of January 6, according to data from Nielsen. Maddow finished the week with 325,000 among A25-54, topping Fox News Channel's “The Kelly File” (305,000) and CNN's 9 p.m. programming (159,000). This was “The Rachel Maddow Show's” best week since April 15, 2013 (Boston marathon bombing).

'We're negotiating on Bones for season 10, and I expect it will be back,' said Reilly, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

E!'s “Live From the Red Carpet: 2014 Golden Globes” telecast on Sunday, January 12 from 6:00pm-8:00pmET hit a ten year high, reaching over 2.2 Million Total Viewers to mark the network's best Golden Globes telecast since 2004. The performance scored the second most watched telecast in the “Live from the Red Carpet” Golden Globes history behind only 2001's pre-show (2.4 Million Total Viewers), matching the 2.2 Million record of both 2004 and 2002. Households were up +20% (1.83 vs. 1.52 rating), Adults 18-49 rose +10% year to year (1.1 Million vs. 961,000) and Women 18-49 gained +10% (805,000 vs. 731,000) with all of these measures also striking ten year highs – a best since 2004.

NBC and Time Inc. have partnered to present a two-hour TV special celebrating the 50th anniversary of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit franchise — one of the most hotly-anticipated annual fixtures in American pop culture. Entitled “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful,” the show is set to air on NBC, Monday, Feb. 3 (9 p.m. ET/PT).

According to Variety, Aaron Sorkin has submitted the script for the film, which he's been attached to pen since 2012.

The pick-up comes over four months since the second season wrapped, with the highly-acclaimed drama's future uncertain.
