FX's FARGO to Premiere in April

FX has announced that it will debut its limited series FARGO, based upon the Coen Brothers' hit 1996 film, on Tuesday, April 16 at 10 p.m. The news was announced at today's TCA event, according to Deadline.

THE SPOILS OF BABYLON Premieres to Nearly 2.6 Million Total Viewers on IFC

The premiere night of IFC's newest original comedy, The Spoils of Babylon, delivered a combined audience of nearly 2.3 million total viewers and nearly 1.2 million Adults 18-49 on Thursday, January 9. The first half-hour episode of the two-episode back-to-back premiere delivered 911,000 total viewers and 477,000 adults 18-49.

Hallmark's WHEN CALLS THE HEART Starts Off Strong

Hallmark Channel further fortified its position as a destination for original episodic programming with the premiere of its second scripted series, When Calls the Heart, debuting to a 1.5 household rating and a reach of more than 2.2 million unduplicated viewers. The Saturday, January 11th Season 1 opener elevated Hallmark Channel to be the #2 household-rated network in the 9-10pm time period, as well as #2 among P2+ (.8 rtg). The series premiere also placed among the top 10 in key demo impressions, including #2 in P2+ (1,685,000) and #3 in HH (1,286,000). New episodes of the series, based on the bestselling Canadian West novels by Janette Oke and starring actresses, Erin Krakow, Lori Loughlin, and Jean Smart will air every Saturday night for 12 consecutive weeks.

Animal Planet's hit series, TREEHOUSE MASTERS, delivered a sky-high performance for its season-two debut, 'Temple of Adventure,' which premiered Friday, January 10, at 10 PM ET/PT. The series drew in 1.6 million P2+ viewers and garnered its best-ever performance among P25-54 (827K), P18-49 (795K), M18-49 (418K), W25-54 (404K) and W18-49 (377K).

Maddow finished the week with 325,000 among A25-54, topping Fox News Channel's “The Kelly File” (305,000) and CNN's 9 p.m. programming (159,000). This was “The Rachel Maddow Show's” best week since April 15, 2013 (Boston marathon bombing).
