 Gravitas Ventures announces today that they have acquired worldwide rights to the horror-thriller 14 CAMERAS, directed by Scott Hussion and Seth Fuller.  Written by Victor Zarcoff, the film is the highly-anticipated sequel to the critically-acclaimed horror title 13 CAMERAS (New York Times Critic's Pick), released by Gravitas Ventures in 2015.  The film will be released in theaters and on demand nationwide on July 27th.

 After much anticipation, Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) has finally revealed the talent lineup for its unforgettable annual Gala, An Evening with the Best of Broadway. At a launch party held this week, 2018 DSM Gala Co-Chairs Cara Owens and John Cluttsunveiled, to much excitement, a talented trifecta of performers for the event, including notable actors Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison, famed for their work in the musical-comedy television series Glee and renowned Broadway performer Shoshana Bean. The Music Center announced it will present the Los Angeles premiere of the live overnight performance of Max Richter's SLEEP, one of the longest single pieces of classical music ever to be recorded and performed, in Grand Park on Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28, 2018.  Following its recent successes in New York City and at SXSW, along with performances in London, Berlin and Sydney among others, SLEEP will be performed outdoors for the first time as the first overnight event to be held at Grand Park, Los Angeles County's highly popular gathering space.  Cots will replace traditional seating to allow attendees to fully immerse themselves in the eight-hour experience.  The concert, featuring Richter playing the piano and keyboard along with the musicians on the 2015 Deutsche Grammophon recording of the work, American Contemporary Music Ensemble and soprano Grace Davidson, will begin at 10:30 p.m. on both Friday andSaturday evenings and conclude at 6:30 a.m. the following mornings.  The Music Center Presents Max Richter's SLEEP is supported by the Ring-Miscikowski Foundation/The Ring Foundation.

According to Deadline, Eddie Murphy is about to return to the screen for the first time in awhile, in a Netflix film which begins production June 12 about the life of Rudy Ray Moore, the star of the blaxploitation Dolemite films. Hustle and Flow's Craig Brewer is directing a script by Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski, the writing team behind such quirky biographical films as Big Eyes, Ed Wood and The People Vs. Larry Flynt.

Nashville-based quintet Birdtalker will release their anticipated debut album One on June 22nd. It will be the group's first full-length record following the success of their song 'Heavy,' a streaming phenomenon which has amassed over 21 million streams on Spotify alone (and counting) with no label support. The weightiness of the song's weightlessness captivated listeners who discovered the song, bringing the freshly intrigued out to see Birdtalker on their first tour recently, and whetting appetites for their full-length debut.

BroadwayHD, the premier streaming service for live theater productions, is expanding its library to include the most comprehensive library of Cirque du Soleil titles available for streaming. The company today announces that it will offer a collection of 10 titles – eight live productions and two original documentaries - based on the avant-garde entertainment company's most successful live events to date. The collection will debut on the platform June 7.

Executive producers Viola Davis and Julius Tennon have teamed up with XCON Productions and Lincoln Square Productions for the powerful, new documentary series, “The Last Defense,” premiering TUESDAY, JUNE 12 (10:00 – 11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. The seven-episode docu-series explores and exposes flaws in the American justice system through emotional, in-depth examinations of the death row cases of Darlie Routier and Julius Jones. The series will seek to trace the path that led both Routier and Jones to their places on death row, while taking a deep look into their personal stories.
