Leanne Marsland

Leanne Marsland Leanne graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre from the Ballarat Arts Academy with credits including, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Lady Beatrice/Dance Captain in Once Upon a Mattress, Mrs Fairfax understudy in Jane Eyre and her self-devised cabaret entitled, Love Me xx.
Since graduating she has performed supporting roles in such shows as The Boy Friend, Sugar and Singing In The Rain for The Production Company. She has also written and performed her own cabaret shows performing sold out seasons for various festivals, featured in television commercials and music videos. She put her hand to producing in 2014 for The World of Ahrens & Flaherty concert and has been employed by the VCA as Dance Lecturer/Choreographer for the Broadway Bound Music Theatre Course. Her work also includes two concert tours of China in 2014, as Choreographer for Four Seasons In One Night and Choreographer/Performer in the Best of Broadway.
On top of performing, she is gaining more roles as a Director and Choreographer including, The Last Five Queers, with a return season for the Mid-Winta Festival set for later this year and her fourth tour for Style Music Theatre. She is also Creative Director of her own business, Moveworks- bringing movement to the workplace.

Amongst the array of wonderful shows that The Production Company has brought to the stage, West Side Story, the adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, is without a doubt a triumph! Celebrating their 50th show, with what is often deemed as the best written musical of all time with book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, was definitely a decision well made.
