The Community College of Baltimore County, Essex Academic Theatre performs Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, by Tennessee Williams 8 p.m., Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1, 10 a.m. Dec. 3 and 1 p.m., Dec. 4 in the B Building Theatre at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 for students, seniors, CCBC faculty, staff and alumni. The Theater for the New City with the support of Spain Culture New York-Consulate General of Spain presents The New Stage Theatre Company's Garden of Delights, written by Fernando Arrabal and directed by Ildiko Nemeth (NY Innovative Theatre Award nominee), with original music by Jon Gilbert Leavitt (Outmusic Award winner). Garden of Delights runs through December 2, 2012 in a limited engagement at Theater for the New City's Johnson Theater, located at 155 First Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets in New York City.

WFUV will give thanks musically this holiday season with two days of concert broadcasts from venues as small as Electric Lady Studios and The Living Room and as large as music festivals like Newport Folk and SXSW, starting on Thursday, November 22nd from 10 AM-Midnight and continuing Friday, November 23rd from 10 AM-2 PM. The first day of the annual Thanksgiving Feastival brings listeners performances by the likes of Dawes, Calexico, Regina Spektor and Wilco as well as a broadcast of the Arlo Guthrie classic "Alice's Restaurant" at noon. On Friday, the live music marathon continues with performances by Shawn Colvin, Alabama Shakes, Norah Jones, and Sigur Ros throughout the day. New Yorkers can tune into WFUV at 90.7 FM, while Thanksgiving revelers across the country and worldwide can stream the whole Feastival at www.wfuv.org.

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and The Irish Tenors are teaming up to help raise money for the Hunger Task Force during THE IRISH TENORS-THE PREMIERE IRISH HOLIDAY CELEBRATION TOUR that takes place this Sunday, November 25 at 6:00 p.m. in Uihlein Hall. $10.00 from each ticket sold using the code HUNGER will be donated to the organization. They'll be thrown into the fire in 'Half Hour 2: A Last Minute Concert,' a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. The audience will get to vote on what song each performer will sing.

Grace United Methodist Church presents pianist David Buddin (voted best New York composer 2012 by the Village Voice) performing the New York premier of Karlheinz Stockhausen's Natural Durations 1-12. The concert will be held on Sunday, December 2 at 4pm, free admission. This is the first half of Karlheinz Stockhausen's vast meditation on piano sonority. One of Stockhausen's last pieces, it is the third 'hour' of his 'Klang' cycle, derived from a single twenty-four-note set ran through a myriad of permutations and transformations.

The shows include a performance at Karneycopia, a weekly Singer/Songwriter event in the SOMA district at Brainwash Cafe, and a set at Independent Distribution Collective's Holiday Party at the Union Room in the Union Square neighborhood. This run will be capped off with a few studio sessions at Petting Zoo Studios in Emeryville, CA, working with producer/engineer Ben Bernstein (New Monsoon, Deborah Crooks, Ian Franklin).

UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) will present a developmental reading of Sounds Like Love, a new comedy by Arnold B. Horwitt (Make Mine Manhattan, Plain and Fancy) featuring three original songs by Horwitt, Tony Award winner Albert Hague (Plain and Fancy, The Fig Leaves Are Falling) and Grammy Award winner Allan Sherman (The Fig Leaves Are Falling). Originally written circa 1955, the previously unproduced play is adapted and directed by Ben West (At Home Abroad, Make Mine Manhattan, Gatsby).

MTV today announced that the network will air "I'm Positive," a 60-minute special produced by DrDrew Productions and Octagon Entertainment on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT, with a simulcast on MTV Tr3s. "I'm Positive" goes inside the lives of three young people from around the country who are HIV positive. Although each faces struggles that are part of living with this virus, they all work to maintain a positive outlook on life, while taking steps to remain healthy and to stop the spread of HIV.
