Coral: Rekindling Venus, a video installation created by Australian artist Lynette Wallworth that immerses viewers in the stunning underwater realm of fluorescent coral reefs and exotic sea creatures, returns by popular demand to the American Museum of Natural History on January 22-24 in collaboration with the Sundance Film Festival. As part of this limited engagement, Walworth will participate in a Q&A via Skype from Park City, Utah after the evening screening on Wednesday, January 23. Coral: Rekindling Venus is a selection of the Sundance Film Festival's New Frontier program, which showcases films, media installations, multimedia performances, and panel discussions that explore the convergence of film, art, new media technology, and storytelling.

Railroad Earth will kick off their 2013 Winter Tour with a three night run at the Ogden Theater in Denver, CO on January 18th. Everyman Theatre has announced a weeklong celebration for the Grand Opening of its brand new theatre at 315 West Fayette Street. Prolific actor, playwright and screenwriter Charles Busch is set to star in The Peccadillo Theater Company's upcoming staged reading of Sidney Howard's 1926 play THE SILVER CORD Monday, January 14 at 7 PM at Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 West 46 Street (between Ninth & Tenth Ave.) Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Dan Wackerman, the cast will also feature Jessie Austrian (Cymbeline), Molly Camp (The Heiress), Robert Eli (Saturn Returns), and Wesley Taylor ('Smash,' Rock of Ages).

Since the birth of its Song of Houston project in 2007, Houston Grand Opera has been actively pursuing a unique collaborative relationship with the city's Mexican community: commissioning and presenting new works that go beyond a merely curatorial approach to the shared culture of a significant majority of Houston's citizens, telling their stories and refining opera's "Euro-centric" musical-theatrical art with the cadences of the New World. In 2010, HGO commissioned and premiered the world's first Mariachi opera: Cruzar la Cara de la Luna ("To Cross the Face of the Moon"), a true blending of the musical and storytelling traditions of both opera and mariachi, composed by Jose "Pepe" Martinez (music director of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan) and co-written by Martinez with the distinguished Broadway director and writer Leonard Foglia. Now, after 2010's sold-out world-premiere performance and an acclaimed season-opening run at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris in September 2011 - and the subsequent release of the opera on CD (on Albany Records) - Cruzar returns home for its first full run on the main stage at HGO, where it will receive four performances at the Wortham Theater Center on March 21, 23 and 24, 2013.

The ever-evolving Swedish band Opeth will return to North America in support of their most recent studio album, Heritage. Released September 20, 2011, it garnered rave reviews from everyone from Rolling Stone who called the album 'a career record that reimagines prog as actual rock 'n' roll' to Pitchfork saying 'a pretty, well thought out collection" to NPR who called it "equally vast, thoughtful and heavy." The tour will kick off on April 18th in Buffalo and will take the band throughout North America on a 30+ city tour. Katatonia has been confirmed as direct support for the tour.

The enchanting Irish musical ensemble Celtic Woman returns to America for an expansive four-month concert tour, with an appearance at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 8PM.

From acclaimed Scottish theater company Visible Fictions (Jason and the Argonauts, New Vic 2009), comes The Mark of Zorro, a thrilling tale about a mysterious masked avenger. By using simple props and physical ingenuity, the cast of three whizzes through a multitude of characters, conjuring all the drama, wit and suspense of an action flick. The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum today announced that more than one million people visited the museum in 2012, the highest recorded attendance in the 30-year history of the museum and the first time it has surpassed one million visitors in a single calendar year. The landmark number was achieved despite the 8-week closure of the museum during peak tourist months during the holiday season due to damages incurred from Hurricane Sandy, and is led by the arrival of Space Shuttle Enterprise, which has been on display at the museum since July 2012.
