Balagan Theatre and Contemporary Classics co-present the Seattle premiere of Broadway rock musical Next to Normal, starring one of Seattle's veteran leading ladies, Beth DeVries, as the bipolar depressive matriarch Diana Goodman; and directed by one of Seattle's hottest young directors, Contemporary Classics Artistic Director Brandon Ivie, whose credits include the Broadway productions of A Christmas Story: The Musical, Catch Me If You Can, and Next to Normal.

The Candlelight Dinner Playhouse will present "THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN", opening Thursday, January 24 and running through Saturday, March 30. Huntington Theatre Company, SpeakEasy Stage Company, and the City of Boston's Office of Arts, Tourism, and Special Events will collaborate to present Two Plays: One House: A Raisin in the Sun & Clybourne Park at Dorchester's Strand Theatre on Wednesday, February 20 at 7pm. Hosted by Karen Holmes Ward, WCVB-TV's Director of Public Affairs and Community Services and host and executive producer of "CityLine," the evening will feature performances of scenes from each of the two plays and a panel conversation moderated by Ward with directors Liesl Tommy (A Raisin in the Sun) and M. Bevin O'Gara (Clybourne Park) about the issues of racism and gentrification raised in the plays. Abingdon Theatre Company - which has produced more than 78 new American plays in its 20-year history - continues its 2012-2013 Season with the world premiere of BODEGA BAY by Elisabeth Karlin (THE MOONCALF), set to begin previews Friday, January 25, prior to its official press opening February 3, at Abingdon Theatre Company's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Sturgis Warner, who recently helmed Najla Said's PALESTINE, directs. Performances run through February 17.

Kodo, Japan's preeminent performing arts ensemble, returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall on Tuesday, February 5 at 8 PM as part of the group's One Earth Tour 2013: Legend, the first tour under the guidance of new Artistic Director, kabuki icon Tamasaburo Bando. The program will feature several re-envisioned works and new pieces inspired by Bando's distinct aesthetic and deep experience, as well as the group's hallmark taiko - the nearly 900-pound drum - a show-stopping instrument that demands both strength and tenderness.

Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's Classic Company, commences the second half its 2013-14 season with Noel Coward's comedy, Blithe Spirit. The production will be performed in the company's revolutionary and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare, February 22 - March 10. 2013. Alicia Keys, a fourteen-time Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer, has announced her North American "Set The World On Fire Tour" to include a performance at Joe Louis Arena on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. with special guest Miguel. The tour is in support of Keys' latest album, Girl On Fire.

WORKSHOP THEATER COMPANY in conjunction with JEM THEATRICALS is presenting the New York premiere production of MY MOM IS TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE, a new family musical comedy. The musical, with book by Kate Feiffer and MJ Bruder Munafo, music by Paul Jacobs, lyrics by Sarah Durkee, is based on the acclaimed picture book MY MOM IS TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE, by Kate Feiffer with illustrations by Diane Goode (Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books). The Faux-Real Theatre Company (FRTC) who have been bringing avant-garde theatre to populist audiences since 1994, will present their newest production: the ancient play OEDIPUS REX with a gender bending twist. It's classic theatre performed exactly as Sophocles intended…sort of. Preview performances of OEDIPUS REX XX/XY will begin Thursday March 7th prior to an official press opening on March 10th at La MaMa's First Floor Theatre (74A East 4th Street) in Manhattan. SculptureCenter, in collaboration with the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School, is thrilled to continue the artist-led lecture series Subjective Histories of Sculpture. The Jewish Museum is presenting The Pop Ups - Radio Jungle, a concert for families on Sunday, February 3 at 2:00 pm. Concert attendees will enjoy a musical romp set in an imaginary world of mermaids, treasure maps, gigantic crayons and glowing constellations brought to life through cardboard props, hand-painted sets, and a colorful cast of original puppets. Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls announces the cast for his revival of the rarely-produced Measure for Measure-William Shakespeare's "last comedy and his blackest-pitched" in which the "unquenchable influence of sex in society is a central theme" (New York Times). This production marks Falls' first return to Shakespeare's work since his critically-acclaimed 2006 revival of King Lear, starring Stacy Keach in the title role.
