Dance from the Heart returns to New York City Tonight - Monday, January 28 and tomorrow Tuesday, January 29, 2013 with shows at 6:30pm & 8:30pm each night at Cedar Lake Theater, 547 W. 26th Street in Manhattan's West Chelsea Historic District. The exciting benefit will feature performances by more than a dozen of the most diverse dancers, dance companies and choreographers working today. Dance from the Heart will present a different program of performances for each night (see schedule below), a poignant anti-bullying number danced by teenagers and the world premiere of a piece choreographed by American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Marcelo Gomes.

Original NEWSical cast member Christina Bianco returns to Off-Broadway's smash hit NEWSical The Musical on January 29th one week prior to Carson Kressley's premiere. Bianco replaces Hairspray vet Susan Mosher who is leaving the production to star in Gordon Greenberg's The Single Girls Guide at Capital Repertory. Bianco was seen in NEWSical for three years spoofing everyone and everything from Sarah Palin's political ambitions, to Kim Kardashian's short-lived first marriage, to Lady Gaga's fight for equality, to Christina Aguilera's memorable National Anthem mishap. With Bianco's return to NEWSical so will the fan-favorite sketch involving Celine Dion's take on "The Hokey Pokey".

Silk Road Rising co-founders, Artistic Director Jamil Khoury and Executive Director Malik Gillani, have announced their company's 2013 season, including two world premieres, Rajiv Joseph's The Lake Effect and Motti Lerner's Paulus, and the Midwest premiere of Jonas Hassen Khemiri's Invasion!. Shaw Festival Theatre Canada held its Annual General Meeting for the 2012 season on Friday, January 25, 2013 in the lobby of the Festival Theatre. In attendance were members of the Shaw Festival Board of Governors led by outgoing Chair Gary Comerford, Artistic Director Jackie Maxwell, Executive Director Elaine Calder and members of the Company, supporters and friends - all of whom had gathered to celebrate the results of the 2012 season.

The Boston College Theatre Department presents the first play of the spring semester: the acclaimed comedy Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Written by iconic comedian Steve Martin, the production is directed by BC senior and theater major Shannon DeBari.
