Ilana Levine (You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Wrong Mountain, 'Kissing Jessica Stein') will join the cast of My Name Is Asher Lev, the hit Off-Broadway play based on the best selling novel by Chaim Potok, beginning February 26th. She replaces Jenny Bacon, who plays her final performance in the show on February 23rd.

Each have been vital parts of the past 3 seasons of RSP's work and have contributed in many areas of production. They join the existing staff of Rising Sun: Akia, Founding Artistic Director, Derek Shore, Company Manager and Tiffini Minatel, Business Manager.

After an acclaimed workshop production at The Brick Theater last year, Dutch Kills will present the World Premiere of THE SISTER. This black comedy by Eric John Meyer will be directed by Jess Chayes. Penobscot Theatre Company and Maine Jewish Film Festival announce a special screening of one of the twenty films being presented at this year's MJFF, March 9-16. This special screening at the Bangor Opera House, Dorfman in Love, will take place on Sunday, March 17 at 7PM. The film is a romantic comedy starring Sara Rue and Elliot Gould. This is a free event but a $5 donation is suggested.

Swing back to a time when music was grand and life seemed easier. Dundalk Community Theatre celebrates the glorious music of the 1940's with a comedy set inside a radio studio, broadcasting a Christmas Special to the boys overseas, fighting the war in 1942. This isn't your typical musical, and not to be missed. The 1940's Radio Hour, runs 6 performances only, from Feb 22 to March 3rd. This March, The Ghost Road Company presents the world premiere of its latest ensemble-devised production, The Bargain and the Butterfly. Inspired by American novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne's short story, The Artist of the Beautiful, and under the direction of Katharine Noon, the Los Angeles-based theater company has created a beautifully haunting new play, which explores the delicate intersection of genius and madness. The West Valley City Historical Society is currently seeking individuals or families that are descendants of the first settlers "over Jordan." Several pioneer founding families settled in the late 1800s and early 1900s in the areas that would become Hunter, Granger and Chesterfield, and later, West Valley City. "It is important that we retain the rich heritage of the founding families of our community," said D'An Wadsworth, chairperson of the West Valley City Historical Society. "They are the pioneers and founders of our city."
