Winners Of Taste Of The Hill Country Announced ImageThe Hill Country Community Theatre is pleased to announce that On the Rocks restaurant was the winner of the categories "Best Appetizer/Entrée", "Best Beverage", and "Best of Show" for the theatre's second annual Taste of the Hill Country fundraiser. Choccolatte's was the winner for "Best Sweet/Dessert".

The event was held at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls on Tuesday, October 17 and featured the top area restaurants, caterers and food vendors.

The winners will receive a special engraved cutting board award. The awards for each category were voted upon by those who attended the event. This very successful fundraiser was put together by the Hill Country Community Theatre's board of directors with the help of many volunteers and local business sponsors. Over 225 people attended the event which raised funds for the non-profit. The monies raised will go towards the ever increasing costs of producing plays and musicals, as well as the theatre's educational and scholarship programs, and for necessary upkeep and repairs on their aging facility.

Vendors included Chocolatte's, Hiccups, Tea Thyme Cafe, Time 2 Eat on Main, R Bar & Grill, Chata's Tamale Kitchen, On the Rocks, It's All Goode, Aszha's Cottage Bakery, Double Horn Brewery, Numinous Coffee Roasters, and Flat Creek, Fall Creek, Spicewood, and Perisso's vineyards. The event was sponsored by The DiFede Agency, Grand Bank, Twist Hair Salon, Keiser Century 21 and Suzie's Travel Time. The Hill Country Community Theatre was founded in 1985 by Gigi Fischer and the late Phyl Holbert. The primary purpose of HCCT is to present and promote quality theatre activities and programs that entertain, educate and encourage community participation in the support of performance and related cultural arts.
