Zachary Clause Announces Added Performances of BETTE MIDLER AT THE CONTINENTAL BATHS
Zachary Clause proudly announces added performances of Zachary Clause Does Bette Midler at The Continental Baths, 1971 on Monday, January 15, Saturday, January 27 and Saturday, February 3 at Pangea (178 2nd Avenue). Doors open at 6:00pm with shows beginning at 7:00pm. The show originally premiered at Pangea in November 2017.
The year was 1971. Bette Midler was on the verge of stardom, and Barry Manilow was still unknown. Together, this duo performed regularly for the shirtless homosexuals of The Continental Bathhouse. Zachary Clause playfully summons the ghosts from a mythical moment in queer history in his recreation of one of Bette's final performances at The Baths. Bring your own towel - things might get steamy as we try to answer the age old question "What becomes a superstar most?"

About Zachary Clause
Zachary Clause (Creator/Performer) has performed Off-Broadway, both The Fringe and NYMF festivals, as well as regional theatres across the country such as Barrington Stage, Capital Rep, The Hangar Theatre. Zachary's short film, CATHY, was recently named an official selection of the PBS Reel 13 short film contest. For the past several years he has performed alongside Jeremy Lawrence in Tennessee Williams' The Chalky White Substance and The Traveling Companion in Williams Festivals all over the U.S. as well as Dublin. His latest collaboration with Jeremy Lawrence, He Knew He Would Say It (But Could He Believe It Again?) premiered in 2016 as part of The New Orleans Tennessee Williams Literary/Theatre Festival. Zachary frequently performs as his drag alter-ego, Sherry Duvall-Covington, in original cabaret shows including Is That All There Is? (The Red Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre) and Sherry Takes a Holiday (The Red Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre).
