Usher Teams With 'Body By Milk' to Benefit Teens

The Body By Milk campaign -- famous for putting white 'staches on some of the biggest stars -- has teamed up with the five-time GRAMMY(R)-Award winning and multi-platinum selling artist, Usher, to turn the creative dreams of teens nationwide into reality with the Body By Milk got noise? music video program.

The exciting new program will give 20 lucky teens the chance to flex their creative muscle by directing and producing music videos for Usher, reaching millions of people with their talent. Teens won't be watching from the sideline; they'll be calling the shots on set, collaborating with Usher from video concept to final cut.

"I am so excited to be the first artist involved with the Body By Milk got noise? music video program, as it gives me another way to give back, inspire young people and also reinvent music videos," said Usher. "It also sends out a message to my fans about the importance of healthy living. That's something I believe in and want teens to recognize."

From December 16 to January 31, teens ages 13 - 18 from across the nation can apply online for their chance to make a music video from Usher's new 2009 album. No experience is necessary, and participation is free.

Usher will be on set to collaborate and perform with the two teen crews, who will get seven days to create, shoot and edit his music video. After shooting wraps, the two teen-created music videos and the original studio-created version will then be showcased online at http://www.bodybymilk.com/.

America will view and vote for their favorite music video from April 1-30, 2009. In addition to bragging rights, the winners will score V.I.P. Usher concert tickets, Final Cut Pro editing software and Apple MacBook Pro laptops to continue creating after the final cut.

Through the got noise? music video program, Body By Milk, along with Usher, will help raise awareness of the importance of smart beverage choices in the fight against obesity and encourage teens to show the many ways they include milk in their diets.

"This exciting program brings together things that are important to teens' lifestyles -- music and pop culture -- with things that are important to their health -- drinking lowfat or fat free milk, eating right and moving more," said Julie Buric, vice president, Marketing for Body By Milk. "With the help of Usher, we hope the Body By Milk got noise? music video program will help us to continue to make a difference to the health of America's youth."

Usher will become the latest celebrity to join the "Body By Milk" campaign, which encourages teens to drink three glasses of lowfat or fat free milk every day, eat right and be active to stay lean and healthy. Complementing the campaign, Usher believes that staying active and healthy is key to creativity and top performance. His Body By Milk ad will debut in Spring 2009.

Five-time Grammy Award-winning R&B star Usher made his Broadway debut in Chicago in the role of Billy Flynn on August 22nd 2006.

The got noise? competition was created by the team at Body By Milk, and Chicago-based film production company, Dreaming Tree Films, who develops creative programming for teens nationwide. The goal of the competition is to encourage teens to lead active and healthy lifestyles and connect them to healthy outlets for self-expression, music and movies. Teen video-makers are inspired through this unique and confidence boosting experience.

Body By Milk(R) is part of the National Milk Mustache "got milk?(R)" Campaign, a multi-faceted education program focused on the health benefits of milk. The campaign is managed by the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP) in Washington, D.C., which is funded by the nation's milk processors, who are committed to increasing fluid milk consumption. Lowe New York is the creative agency for the National Milk Mustache "got milk?(R)" Campaign.
