TV Line reports that Michael Cerveris (FUN HOME) has signed on for a multi-episode story arc in the hit FOX drama series GOTHAM. The Tony winning actor will portray Professor Pyg. Comic book fans know Pyg (aka Lazlo Valentin) as "the porcine mask-wearing, schizophrenic Circus of Strange leader whose calling cards included a small army of "Dollotrons" - victims to whom he affixed doll-like masks."

GOTHAM returns for a fourth season on Thursday, Sept. 21st. No word yet as to when Cerveris will make his debut.

Michael Cerveris most recently appeared on Broadway as 'Bruce' in FUN HOME. His other Broadway credits include EVITA, IN THE NEXT ROOM, HEDDA GABLER, SWEENEY TODD, ASSASSINS and TITANIC. He made his Broadway debut in 1993's THE WHO'S TOMMY. He has won the Tony Award for both FUN HOME and ASSASSINS.
