THE WEDDING SINGER To Be Presented Ar Fairfield Center Stage
Nick Kuell and Kaylin Cardozo lead a cast of 42 at Wakeman Hall in First Church Congregational
Fairfield Center Stage will present THE WEDDING SINGER in downtown Fairfield, Connecticut. The musical comedy, based on the Adam Sandler film, will run for two weekends at Wakeman Hall inside First Church Congregational of Fairfield.
THE WEDDING SINGER follows Robbie Hart, New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer, whose life changes after his fiancée leaves him at the altar. Set in 1985, the musical features a score inspired by the sound of the decade and a story centered on Robbie’s growing connection with Julia, a waitress preparing to marry a Wall Street banker. The Fairfield Center Stage production will feature a cast of 42 local performers and a live onstage band.
Performances will take place Friday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, May 9 at 5 p.m.; Sunday, May 10 at 4 p.m.; Friday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, May 16 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 17 at 4 p.m.
The production is directed by Christy McIntosh-Newsom, with choreography by Bonnie Gregson, music direction by Ken Legum, scenic design by Kelley Wright, sound design by Chris Gensur, and lighting design by Don Rowe. Brian Bish serves as media manager, and Holly Corso serves as stage manager. Fairfield Center Stage is led by Artistic Director Christy McIntosh-Newsom and Executive Producer Eli Newsom.

Ticketing Information
Tickets are $30 for regular reserved seating and $45 for VIP table seating. VIP table seating includes a bring-your-own-food option for 4-top and 6-top tables, which must be purchased in full. No outside drinks are permitted under the venue agreement. Concessions, including drinks and snacks, will be available before and during the performance.
Regular seating will be in rows of folding chairs, with 16 seats per row. Bring-your-own-food is not permitted in the regular seating section. Seating begins approximately 30 minutes before showtime, and the running time is approximately two hours and 30 minutes, including one intermission.
Parking is free in the on-site lot. The event is paperless, and patrons will check in at the entrance using an order confirmation email. All sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges except in the case of an unforeseen canceled performance. Ticket transfer requests may be emailed to info@fairfieldcenterstage.org.
The show contains sexual innuendo and explicit language and is suitable for children at parental discretion. Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
Following THE WEDDING SINGER, Fairfield Center Stage’s 2025-26 season will conclude with the 13th Annual Playathon on May 30. Future shows and auditions will be announced later this spring.
Fairfield Center Stage is a local community theater group in Fairfield, Connecticut, that works with local artists and staff from Fairfield County. Inspired by environmental theatre, the company dedicates its seasons to highlighting venues throughout Fairfield.
