STAGE TUBE: Zac Efron: 'Broadway is not out of the question'

As Broadway continues to bend in a direction of seeking Hollywood names for the stage, it seems it is only a matter of time before Zac Efron, former star of Disney's High School Musical, makes the shortlist for some production.  His former High School Musical star, Corbin Bleu, is currently starring in In the Heights on Broadway. Another High School Musical alumna (and Efron's real-life girlfriend) Vanessa Hudgens will take the stage as 'Mimi' in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl this summer.

And for Efron, the prospect of taking the stage is fine by him.  During a press event at the Maui Film Festival, Efron talks his love of Broadway and how an Efron-billing may not be out of the question in the near future.
