HOOK, LINE AND SISTERS is coming to TLC on Thursday, December 29th at 10/9c. Everyone knows commercial fishing in Alaska can be a deadly job. Everyone also knows it's mostly a man's world. But there are a few brave women working right alongside them! HOOK, LINE AND SISTERS tackles this dangerous world from a whole new perspective ... a woman's!

About the Anderson Family:

Susan Anderson was born and raised in the Midwest. After backpacking up to Alaska with college friends in the summer of 1978, she got a job working on a fishing boat where she met Dean. Both Dean and Susan have had a working relationship aboard fishing boats ever since then. When she was not fishing during the summers, she would take their 4 kids traveling around the world for 3 months at a time. In the off season, she runs a small seafood business selling salmon to the locals in the mountains of Colorado. She has traveled to 89 countries and continues the count after every fishing season.

Memry Anderson, the youngest of four children, was born in Seattle, Washington. She was raised in both Alaska and the mountains of Colorado. Aside from spending most of her summer's commercial salmon fishing with her family, she spends a lot of time traveling and shopping. Her travels have led her to over 35 countries. She grew up downhill ski racing in Colorado and competed in the Alpine Junior Olympics before moving on to fashion and photography.

Sierra Anderson is the oldest daughter in the Anderson home. She was born in Alaska and a fourth generation fisherman. She has fished herring, cod, and salmon. Aside from fishing, Sierra is an accomplished athlete having successfully competed in several major sports, including downhill ski racing, bike racing, and running, before eventually being recruited to run for SMU on a full athletic scholarship. At 26 years old she has traveled to nearly 50 countries on 6 continents, competed in the NCAA D1 Cross Country National Championships, graduated from SMU COX School of Business, and in 2009 launched a world travel internship sponsored by her University. Her passion for story telling and cinematography has lead her into developing her own video Production Company.
