Nick Rashad Burroughs and Marisha Wallace Will Bring 'Baptized By Broadway' to Feinstein's/54 Below
Following their show's sold-out debut last fall, Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots) and Marisha Wallace (Something Rotten!) are pleased to present a special encore performance of Baptized By Broadway: The Revival at Feinstein's/54 Below on Thursday, January 14 at 11:30pm. Invited back by popular demand, Nick and Marisha will welcome audiences to Broadway's Supper Club for another night of exhilarating music, comedy and inspiration.
The January 14th show will also feature a guest performance by "Glee" star Alex Newell.
Baptized by Broadway follows the comedic journey of two preachers' kids from small towns in the south who just want to make it big on Broadway. Nick and Marisha join forces to tell their story of the highs and lows tackled while growing up in a small town and the odds faced to make it to the Great White Way - finally being Baptized by Broadway.
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
Nick Rashad Burroughs moved to New York a little over a year ago to make his Broadway debut in Kinky Boots as the Angel/Lola understudy. He's performed regionally in shows such as Shrek, Hairspray, and Jesus Christ Superstar, which earned him a BroadwayWorld Award for Best Local Actor in a Musical. Marisha Wallace is currently tapping her way through the Renaissance as a featured ensemble member and understudy for the role of Bea in the Tony-nominated comedy Something Rotten!. She was part of the Original Broadway Cast of Disney's Aladdin as the Fortune Teller. She also performed in the First National Tour of The Book of Mormon.
