Award-winning actress Phylicia Rashad will be a guest speaker for the Harold Clurman Lecture Series at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting on Monday, June 9, 2008. Rashad most recently received rave reviews for her role as Big Mama in the Broadway revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The event will feature a short lecture followed by a question and answer session. The Lecture Series is part of the Harold Clurman Arts Series, which also includes poetry readings, concerts, movement and acting labs.
The lecture will begin at 7:00 pm. The Stella Adler Studio is located at 31 West 27th Street, New York, NY. Rashad recently made her directorial debut at the helm of The Seattle Repertory Theater's production of August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean.
