Photo Coverage: The Little Dog Laughed Opens at Second Stage

Photo Copyright RetnaThe Little Dog Laughed, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane opened at the Second Stage Theatre on January 9th; celebrities and the show's stars walked the red carpet and then turned out for a post-show bash at Planet Hollywood.
Written by Douglas Carter Beane (As Bees in Honey Drown), the play is a Hollywood satire. "Yes, we love the cinema for its great auteurs, its glorious faces, its daring images. But in this tabloid age where big stars go on Oprah and jump around like heartsick schoolboys, what we really love is all that dish!!! Carter Beane's players in The Little Dog Laughed includes a Hollywood agent, her very promising, up-and-coming boy-toy client, a sexy young drifter, and the drifter's girlfriend," according to press notes. The show stars Julie White, Johnny Galecki, Zoe Lister-Jones, and Neal Huff. The Little Dog Laughed, which is directed by Scott Ellis (12 Angry Men, Mr. Marmalade), runs through January 29th.
