Paulo Szot, Christine Ebersole Set For The Carlyle Hotel
The Carlyle Hotel (Erich Steinbock, Managing Director) has announced the 2012 Winter season of performers at the legendary Café Carlyle - the "favorite of all New York nightspots," says Liz Smith - another New York legend.
Tony Award-winner Paulo Szot will ring in the New Year with an all new program in a three-week return engagement (January 10-28) with Billy Stritch, Musical Director. Following Mr. Szot will be two time Tony Award-winning actress Christine Ebersole with her Musical Director John Oddo for a four-week engagement (January 31 - February 25), including a special Valentine's Day show on Tuesday, February 14. Legendary R&B vocalist Bettye Lavette, who made her Café Carlyle debut last spring, will return for a two-week engagement (March 13-24). Woody Allen & ThE Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band will once again perform on Monday evenings from January 9 through June 18.
