Musical-Comedy Duo 'The Jasons' To Headline Don't Tell Mama This Friday

World-famous theater district entertainment destination Don't Tell Mama will feature the musical-comedy duo, The Jasons, this Friday night at 9:30PM as part of their ongoing weekly comedy night.

The Jasons are a musical comedy duo made up of best friends, Jason Blackman and Jason Bader. They started playing music together in high school and have been playing ever since. Influenced by Flight of The Conchords, Tenacious D, and The Smothers Brothers. The Jasons combine their love of absurdly silly premises with undeniably catchy melodies. The Jasons were previously seen at Don't Tell Mama as pre-show performers for Don't Tell Mama's Friday comedy night, now they will take the stage for a headlining set.

"The Jasons are packing up their Hawaiian shirts & guitars and heading to NYC!" Says Jason Bader, one half of The Jasons.

"We're excited to perform in our hometown at this iconic venue," says Jason Blackman, the other half of The Jasons, "our act is both music and comedy, so a cabaret venue couldn't be more appropriate."

Don't Tell Mama Comedy began their recurring comedy hour on Black Friday in 2018, opening to a sold-out premier. Since their opening Don't Tell Mama Comedy has featured a wide range of comics, from industry vets to promising up-and-comers, with a range of television and stage credits.

Comics who perform at Don't Tell Mama Comedy have appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central, Netflix, and other media, they also have countless festivals and tours under their belt.

Since 1982, Don't Tell Mama has presented artists of all kinds who have gone on to the world stage and won multiple Emmys, Tonys, Grammys, Oscars, and even a Pulitzer Prize! Jim Gaffigan, Aziz Ansari, Joy Behar, Leah Delaria, Seth Rudetsky and Alec Mapa are all celebrated comics who have appeared regularly at Don't Tell Mama through the years.
