The little-known world of Spanish animation is explored in this kaleidoscopic exhibition by MoMA's Department of Film. Featuring eight programs that span more than 100 years of films, music videos, advertising, children's stories and political campaigns, From Doodles to Pixels includes classic hand-drawn animation, stop-motion, and innovative digital works across an array of genres.

Among the distinguished artists, designers, humorists, and studios represented are K-Hito, Francisco Macián, Robert Balser, José Antonio Sistiaga, Isabel Herguera, Javier Mariscal, Mercedes Gaspar, Rodrigo Blaas, Anna Solanas, César Díaz Meléndez, Nicolai Troshinky, Jossie Malis, Laura Ginès, Alberto Vázquez, Estudios Moro, Balet y Blay, and the Headless Studio.

This series takes advantage of new scholarship and restoration initiatives organized by the Contemporary Culture Centre of Barcelona and Acción Cultual Española.
