Lillian Colon, The First Latina Radio City Rockette, to Host Dance Class And Book Signing at Broadway Dance Center

Join Lillian Colon, the first Latina Radio City Rockette, for a dance class, Q & A, and book signing at Broadway Dance Center (BDC) October 17. The iconic dancer, and now author, will share her expertise and experience with attendees at this one-time dance event.

Each participant will enjoy a dance class led by Lillian, followed by a Q & A where attendees can get advice and first-hand accounts of Lillian's experiences in the dance industry. Each Participant will also receive a copy of her book Lillian: The First Latina Rockette, which she describes as a "compelling story of her spirited journey from the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Home for Children to the great stage at Radio City Music Hall-where she danced her way into history as the first Latina Rockette."

Lillian Colon is a veteran dancer who currently teaches jazz in New York City. Among many of her accomplishments in the dance world, Lillian is the first Latina Radio City Music Hall Rockette and was honored by the newspaper El Dario in 1997 as The Puerto Rican Woman of The Year. She has appeared as a Guest of Honor and Godmother in 3 Puerto Rican Day Parades.
