LAZARUS London star Sophia Anne Caruso takes over BroadwayWorld.com's Instagram today to give our readers a behind the scenes look at the production!

Sophia Anne Caruso is a 15-year old professional bi-coastal actress, currently living in New York City. She began her professional career at the age of nine in Spokane, Washington, starring as Helen Keller.

For her performance in Lazarus at New York Theatre Workshop, Sophia received a 2016 Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical

She has also appeared in NBC-TV's - SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE, starring Carrie Underwood, where Sophia Anne played Brigitta von Trapp. The show was seen by over 30 million viewers nationwide.

Sophia Anne was also able to achieve another item on her bucket-list in Spring of 2013, by working with her idol Bernadette Peters. She was featured as Young Norma Jean in a song and dance number, on NBC-TV's hit series, SMASH. Both performed, At Your Feet, which is also featured on the SMASH cast album on iTunes.

Inspired by the book, The Man Who Fell To Earth, Lazarus focuses on Thomas Newton as he remains still on Earth - a 'man' unable to die, his head soaked in cheap gin and haunted by a past love. We follow Newton during the course of a few days where the arrival of another lost soul might set him finally free. Michael C Hall stars as Newton, the character famously portrayed by David Bowie in the 1976 screen adaptation directed by Nicolas Roeg.

Directed by Ivo van Hove, Lazarus includes songs from Bowie's iconic catalog as well as brand new music written for the stage.
