David Gaard's HAPPY NEW YEAR, LADY LOU! Reading Set For 6/25
David Gaard's hilarious and heart warming fable of life in New York's downtown club scene "Happy New Year, Lady Lou!" will be given an Equity approved reading at the First Annual Planet Connections Theater Festival at 2:00PM Thursday June 25 at the Robert Moss Theater, 440 Lafayette Street.
Tracy Rosten will appear as the title character, the brassy, boozy drag king with a long ago secret that has the power to break her. Also appearing in the reading will be Marjorie Austrian, Peter Coriaty, Oscar Castillo, Angela Della Ventura, and Ken Schwarz as well as Bruce Eyster, Anna Koonin, Steven Tylor O'Connor, Rob Rosiello, Terri Sturtevant and Michael Tyrell.
Ken Schwarz directs the reading.
Last Holiday season two readings of the script were given as benefits for MCC Homeless Youth Services (Sylvia's Place), the shelter for homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual and questioning teenagers.
