Former "Saturday Night Live" and Comedy Central star Colin Quinn will move his one-man show Colin Quinn Long Story Short, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, to Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre for an 11-week limited engagement. Preview performances begin on Friday, October 22nd and will officially open on Tuesday, November 9th. The production will play through Saturday, January 8th.

Comically channeling the demise of great world empires, Colin Quinn uses his "articulate brand of comedy" in taking audiences through an uproarious history of the world in 75 minutes. From his personification of Caesar as the original Italian mobster to his complaints about Ancient Greece and Antigone giving way to Costco and Snooki, Quinn is at his satirical best, taking on the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that toppled the world's most powerful nations. Colin Quinn Long Story Short proves that throughout human history, the joke has always been on us.

The New York Post says of this summer's critically acclaimed Bleecker Street Theatre production that it's "historical and hysterical. While he dutifully traces his saga from the caveman era to the present, Quinn happens to be very, very funny. Clearly benefited from Seinfeld's influence, with tight pacing and a procession of hilarious one-liners," while NY1 says, "The humor is infused with plenty of witty insights...even wisdom. Quinn with his dry, understated Brooklynese has the perfect delivery for this razor sharp send-up of civilization. I only regret his history of the world in 75 minutes wasn't longer."

Running 75-minutes without an intermission, the show is produced by Eva Price and Richard Martini. Additional creative team members to be announced. The production previously played a successful engagement at the Bleecker Street Theatre from June 19th through September 4th. This marks Colin's return to the Helen Hayes Theatre, previously starring in Colin Quinn - An Irish Wake in 1998.

The performance schedule will be as follows: Monday, Wednesday through Friday at 8pm, Tuesday at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm, 5pm and 8pm.

Ticket prices range from $59-$98 and are available through Telecharge (212-239-6200 or www.telecharge.com) and at the Helen Hayes Theatre Box Office (located at 240 W. 44th, btwn Broadway and 8th).
