Emerging Artists Theatre announce Claymont, directed by Derek Jamison. Claymont will play a four-week off-Broadway engagement at Baruch Performing Arts Center (55 Lexington Avenue – access available on East 25th Street between Lexington and 3rd Avenue). Performances begin Tuesday, February 5, and continue through Sunday, March 2. Opening Night Performance is Saturday, February 9 at 8PM.

"It's hard to come of age in any era, but some years are better than others. The late 1960's might be considered the worst," state press notes, "Fate has not been kind to the Greenglass family of Claymont, Delaware, with Ethan, the father, bedridden with cancer; Shayna, the mother, being forced to take a bank job; Neil, the 18 year old son, in charge of keeping the house clean and the grandmother Ethan's unwilling nurse. A visit from neighbor Dolores shakes up the numbing routine of the Greenglass home, with a unique request for them to board her oldest son Dallas, who has been expelled from college. Dolores cannot bring her son home to her military husband. Dallas, who turns out to be a sensitive soul, if more than a little lost, fascinates Neil…The stakes are raised when a draft notice arrives for Dallas, and Neil learns that his school considers his art-project too controversial for a competition. The men are drawn together in their shared troubles and each makes a fateful decision that determines whether they'll escape Claymont."

The production features scenic design by Tim McMath, costume design by Meredith Neal, and lighting design by Joyce Liao. Ned Thorne is the sound designer, Stephanie Weisner is the property master and Jennifer Granrud is the stage manager.

Claymont plays the following regular schedule through Sunday, March 2: Tuesdays & Fridays at 7PM; Saturdays at 2PM and Sundays at 8PM.

Tickets are $50 general admission and $25.00 seniors and student with ID. Tickets are available online at www.eatheatre.org or by calling 866-811-4111.

Tickets may also be purchased, in person, at Baruch Performing Arts Center (55 Lexington Avenue). Box Office hours are: Monday - Friday: 10AM – 7PM. The Box Office will also be open 2 hours before each performance. TDF accepted.
