Altuzarra Wins Full-Page Ad in Vogue's September Issue

Kate Spade New York announced that Altuzarra will be the recipient of a full-page ad in Vogue's September 2013 issue reported WWD. Kate Spade will both produce the creative and purchase the media space for the full-page ad.

Kate Spade and CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund partnered up for a three-month long initiative to help designers take their brands to the next level through marketing. Other designers the competed included Albertus Swanepoel, Cushnie et Ochs, Pamela Love and Robert Geller.

To win, the designers had to participate in brand-building seminars and then present a concept for a full-page ad in Vogue as their final project. Each designer's submission was reviewed by a committee that included Steven Kolb, chief executive officer of the Council of Fashion Designers of America; Deborah Lloyd, president and creative director of Kate Spade New York; Mark Holgate, fashion news director at Vogue; Ed Filipowski, president, media relations at KCD; Trey Laird, president and executive creative director at Laird + Partners, and Sebastian Kim, photographer.


As the runner-up, jewelry designer Love will receive continued mentorship from KCD and Kate Spade to further develop the execution of her campaign concept.
