Tom Gentry stars in Adelaide's first production of Adam Rapp's insightful, beautifully lyrical play sprinkled with dark humour and excellent music. In the 1980s, a horrific tragedy destroys his family and shatters their carefully crafted fa ade of American middle-class perfection. Fifteen years later, in New York, he continues his struggle to move on with his life. His ever-increasing collection of novels provides his sole refuge from his unrelenting grief. Finally, he is presented with a chance for redemption -- or, at least, the next best thing.
