Power Brutality and Femininity Thrive at the Adelaide Fringe in THE BACCHAE Ahead of International Women's Day

"I want men to see women just as we are, as manifest gods"

A reworking of the Ancient Greek classic The Bacchae by Euripides, this piece is an interweaving of classical and contemporary text, driving to uncover what it is to be divinely feminine, brutally violent and powerful.

Follow the Bacchae, a group of five dangerous, young women, as they take you on a journey to uncover the power of the oppressed.

Shannan Ely, director, and Georgina Adamson, dramaturg, are recently graduated NIDA students, bringing their dark and intoxicatingly feminine graduating production to the Fringe stages.

Presented by emerging Sydney independent Production Company The Revolt, this show will only be playing eight performances in one week. On from 7th-10th March, 6:30pm and 9pm showings, at Benjamin on Franklin.
