McLean Community Players' THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST Opens Tonight 9/25
Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest Opening TONIGHT, September 25
Set in England during the late Victorian era, the play's humor derives in part from characters maintaining fictitious identities to escape unwelcome social obligations. It is replete with witty dialogue and satirizes some of the foibles and hypocrisy of late Victorian society. It has proved to be Oscar Wilde's most enduringly popular play.
Fridays and Saturday Evenings at 8pm September 25, 2009 - October 10, 2009, Matinee on Sunday, September 27 and on Saturday, October 3 at 2pm
All performances are at the Alden Theatre in the McLean Community Center
