Bruce Willis and Mary-Louise Parker were tapped to reveal the 2015 Tony Award Nominations LIVE from the Paramount Hotel's Diamond Horseshoe in New York City this morning - and BroadwayWorld's own Richard Ridge caught up with the pair shortly after the big event, where they opened up about taking on the announcements, Willis' thoughts on bringing MISERY to Broadway, and more!

'I was asleep through the announcement today! Especially because I'm in New Orleans right now. I'm in a car on my way to the airport. I skipped out of town quickly because I wanted to recharge my batteries so I came down here to refuel and now I'm heading back to join what I'm sure is a really happy bunch of people. I'm possibly even more excited because so many of us are acknowledged. It underlines what a communal effort it is and such an extremely talented bunch of artists. I hope it means that people who haven't heard about it will at least look at the acknowledgements and say, "They must be doing something right!" I'm not saying that there wont be champagne on the flight back today! The absolute best way to celebrate is to tell our story tonight with these people who I've become so close to. It's the absolute best!'

'It is a honor to be nominated and to become a part of the grand tradition of American theatre. I am very lucky that I speak American! Albeit in the play with a very British accent. It is a very exciting season on Broadway, with many great plays, musicals, and performances, so just to be a part of that is a thrill.'

According to today's New York Post, the Tonys have tapped stage and screen stars Kristin Chenoweth (currently starring On the Twentieth Century) and Alan Cumming for the job.

The Drama League has announced that the star of Broadway's smash production of Hand to God, Steven Boyer, 2015 Drama League Distinguished Performance nominee, will host the upcoming 81st Annual Drama League Awards, alongside his special guest Tyrone.  One of the high points of the season, the Drama League Awards Luncheon will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway) beginning at 12:00 p.m.  Official sponsors for the 81st Annual Drama League Awards include Delta Air Lines, the Official Airline of The Drama League; MAC Cosmetics, the Official Makeup Partner of The Drama League; National Life Group; and GenSpring Family Offices. The Tony Awards® Administration Committee has announced that John Cameron Mitchell will receive the 2015 Special Tony Award. "John's return to 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' is one for the history books. He not only wrote and co-created the role with Stephen Trask - before directing and starring in the film - but returned to Broadway to star as Hedwig this season after a series of rave performances by Neil Patrick Harris, Andrew Rannells and Michael C. Hall. This is a remarkable undertaking, and we are honored to recognize his outstanding success with this honor," Heather Hitchens, President of the American Theatre Wing, and Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director of The Broadway League, said. John Cameron Mitchell's New York stage appearances included Broadway's Big River, and the original casts of The Secret Garden (Drama Desk nomination) and Six Degrees of Separation. Off-Broadway: Larry Kramer's The Destiny of Me (Obie Award and Drama Desk nom.) and Michael John LaChiusa's Hello Again (Drama Desk nom.). He adapted and directed Tennessee Williams' Kingdom of Earth starring Cynthia Nixon and Peter Sarsgaard and starred in and wrote the book for the 1998 Off-Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (directed by Peter Askin) for which he won an Obie Award along with co-creator/songwriter Stephen Trask. The film adaptation (2001) won him Best Director at Sundance and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. The Film Society of Lincoln Center previously announced that Barbra Streisand (recipient of the 40th Chaplin Award) would present the 42nd Chaplin Award to Academy Award-winner Robert Redford, director, actor, producer, environmentalist, and founder of the Sundance Film Festival and Institute, honored at Lincoln Center tonight, April 27.

?The Downtown Urban Theater Festival announces that acclaimed playwright/director/actor Danny Hoch will receive the 2015 DUTF Playwright Masters Award at this year's Opening Night event, which will take place on Tuesday, May 12th at 8:00 p.m. at 40/40 Club (6 West 25th Street, NYC).

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the national awardees of the 47th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which was held April 13-18, 2015.
