SUBMIT UPDATES
The Sydney International Piano Competition is thrilled to announce the return of the world-renowned competition from 5th to 22nd July, with 32 of the finest young pianists from around the globe travelling to Sydney in July to compete for top honours.
The competition will consist of three stages, with the preliminaries and semi-finals taking place at Verbrugghen Hall at Sydney Conservatorium of Music from 6th to 15th July, culminating in the Finals on one of the world’s finest stages, the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall from 18th to 22nd July.
A Gala Opening Night concert given by the judges will also take place at Verbrugghen Hall on Wednesday 5th July.
All sessions of the competition are open to audiences.
The list of competitors for the 2023 competition includes three from Australia, eight from China, four from Russia, two from Belarus, Germany, Japan and Ukraine and one competitor each from America, Britain, Canada, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Turkey and South Korea. The competitors range in age from 18 to 32.
