Following two sold out seasons in 2014, Mongrel Mouth returns with a new immersive theatre production, Like Me, taking place in a 166 year-old mansion in The Rocks from 18 June to 11 July 2015.

Across two levels and eight rooms of the historic house, the story will unfold simultaneously as the audience roam free and experience the action up-close, providing a unique and unpredictable immersive theatrical experience.

Like Me is a comedy set in a derelict treatment centre where nine former patients, high on the narcotic of narcissism, have taken over the facility. In this maze of mayhem, the inmates fight to be on top and struggle to find love or even a connection in a crazy world void of meaning.

Director of Mongrel Mouth and Like Me, Duncan Maurice, explains, "This show submerges the audience into a world of pure madness where nonsense in the new normal. It dares us to laugh and scream at a world obsessed with the selfie.'

'This new work is inspired by French dramatic master Jacques Lecoq's Bouffon, a performance style based on clownish mockery and the absolute ridiculous. This style of comedy gives us hope, as laughter might be the only we have left to save our sanity."

In 2014, Sydney's appetite for immersive theatre experiences was highlighted with sell-out seasons of Mongrel Mouth productions The Silence Came and The Age of Entitlement. With a stellar cast, all original music and over-the-top costumes, Like Me is a show not to be missed in 2015!
