A Dog Story, a new musical with music and lyrics by Gayla D. Morgan (Mary - A Musical) and book by Eric H. Weinberger (Wanda's World), will play off-Broadway at The Loft at The Davenport Theater (354 W. 45th Street), currently in performances with the official opening scheduled for Thursday, November 17th. Singer/entertainer Jenene Caramielo brought her thrilling voice to Feinstein's/54 Below last night and BroadwayWorld was there. Jenene graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory, in Virginia, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater. She studied private voice, dance and acting as well as piano and improvisation. After college she started working in different regional theaters in Virginia and Florida. With a thirst to travel she continued her career as the headliner on different cruise lines such as Holland America, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and most recently she performed as a guest entertainer on a 2013 world tour with Princess Cruises where she sang her way through Australia to the middle east and Italy. Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz, the producing partners behind MNM Productions, today announced that the preview performance of THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, a musical revue showcasing the music of legendary Broadway songwriters John Kander and Fred Ebb, raised $2,280 to benefit the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beach Gardens (MCCPB) and Joy MCC in Orlando. On Saturday, July 30, Miami City Ballet welcomed dancers and dance lovers from all over the greater Miami area to Miami Beach to celebrate National Dance Day. Over 100 people gathered in Collins Park for a dance party where they learned the 2016 National Dance Day Routine and performed in a flash mob. DJ Hottpants got the party started and was joined on stage by MC and MCB School instructor Herman Payne, with MCB Dancers and J Marcos, dancer and creator of dance-fitness class Videosync, helping to demonstrate.
