Actors Bridge Ensemble's acclaimed production of Sarah DeLappe's The Wolves and Cumberland County Playhouse's rendition of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street were named as the top shows of the year during Midwinter's First Night, the annual tribute to theater in Tennessee, held at Nashville's The Larry Keeton Theatre last Sunday night, January 13. Photographer Rae Lynn Whetzel-Stickney captured many of the night's biggest moments with her camera, which are shared on BroadwayWorld Nashville today.

For the second night in a row, the cast of LITTLE ROCK were paid a visit by a special guest. Last night (September 5) GINA BELAFONTE, actress/producer (BLACKKKLANSMEN) and daughter of actor and civil rights activist HARRY BELAFONTE took in the show and met with the cast after the performance. Little Rock recently celebrated their official opening night at The Sheen Center, check out the photos below! Six of the surviving members of 'The Little Rock Nine'.  In addition, the Mayor's Office proclaimed Thursday, June 14 as 'Little Rock Day' and Carla Hoke-Miller (Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment) was on hand at the top of the show to read the Proclamation from the stage

Victory Gardens Theater continues its 43rd season with the World Premiere of Lettie, written by Boo Killebrew and directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. Lettie runs April 6 - May 6, 2018, with the press performance on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 7:30pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

The Agency Theater Collective announces the Chicago holiday classic Hellcab, starring Rusty Schwimmer, written by Will Kern and directed by The Agency's Managing Director Sommer Austin playing at the Den Theatre, 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave., November 11 December 17. Previews are Saturday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12 at 3 p.m.,Monday, Nov. 13 and Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Opening night is Friday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are pay-what-you-can for all performances. San Diego REPertory Theatre (San Diego REP) presents 'Violet,' a modern fairy tale musical composed by 2015 Tony Award Winner Jeanine Tesori, based on 'The Ugliest Pilgrim' by Doris Betts. The winner of the Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical, 'Violet' is a production filled with show-stopping anthems of the 1960's American south. Previews begin Aug. 20, 2015. Opening night is Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 on the Lyceum Stage.
