Playwrights Horizons, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tim Sanford and Managing Director Leslie Marcus, has announced the six productions of its 2015/2016 Season. The six new works will be presented at the theater company's home at 416 West 42nd Street. In season order, they will be:
"Eye of the Storm Eilida's Tragedy" by Elle Klass a chilling tale inspired from her time living in the mountainous Virginia terrain and the onslaught of hurricanes, she survived, flooding Florida in 2004 along with the numbers of vicious crimes seen through the media.
'One cannot unlock the Universe until they find the key to unlock themselves,' says author Klass as she delves into the psyche of one young woman who witnesses the unthinkable.
About the book - A disturbance at her neighbor's house piques Eilida's curiosity. What she discovers is so shocking it sends her running through the mountainous woods during a thunderstorm. She slips on the wet ground, plummets down Mount Wilde, and slams into a large boulder beside River Freedom. Eilida is transported to Lyden, where Sunshine, a receptionist at the local paper becomes engrossed in her story. The further Sunshine delves into Eilida's life the more entangled their lives become.
